The RSI + ADX + MACD indicator integrates multiple momentum and trend strength metrics into a single pane to provide a comprehensive view of market conditions. By combining the Relative Strength Index (RSI), Average Directional Index (ADX/DMI), and Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD), this tool allows traders to identify trend momentum, strength, and potential reversal points simultaneously.

Usage

The RSI + ADX + MACD script can be used to validate trend direction and strength through several technical filters:

• Trend Strength (ADX/DMI): Use the ADX line to determine the strength of a trend (typically levels above 25 indicate a strong trend). The +DI and -DI lines help identify the directional bias; when +DI is above -DI, the trend is bullish.
• Momentum (MACD & AO): The MACD histogram and lines show the velocity of price movements. Crossovers between the MACD and Signal line can indicate potential entry or exit points. The Awesome Oscillator (AO) is also included for additional momentum confirmation.
• Overbought/Oversold (RSI): The RSI component helps identify extreme market conditions. Levels above 70 suggest overbought conditions, while levels below 30 suggest oversold conditions. It is also highly effective for spotting price/oscillator divergences.

This tool consolidates several standard indicators by normalizing their visual output. Because indicators like MACD and AO have different scales than RSI or ADX (which are bounded 0-100), the script includes a MACD Height Multiplier. This setting allows you to scale the histogram and MACD lines so they are clearly visible alongside the RSI and DMI components. The script also includes built-in alert conditions for crossovers in all major components (MACD, DI lines, RSI levels, and AO zero-crosses).

• MACD Height Multiplier: Adjusts the vertical scale of the MACD and AO plots to align them with the 0-100 RSI/DMI scale.
• Fast Length: The period for the shorter moving average in the MACD calculation.
• Slow Length: The period for the longer moving average in the MACD calculation.
• Source: The price data used for calculations (default is Close).
• Signal Smoothing: The period for the MACD signal line smoothing.
• Simple MA (Oscillator): If enabled, uses SMA instead of EMA for the MACD calculation.
• Simple MA (Signal Line): If enabled, uses SMA for the signal line smoothing.
