The tool automatically scans the chart for the Deep Crab structure. Traders use it to find entry points at the "D" leg, which represents the Potential Reversal Zone (PRZ).

  • Bullish Deep Crab: Signals a potential transition from a downtrend to an uptrend. A long position is typically considered at point D, with a stop-loss placement below point X.
  • Bearish Deep Crab: Indicates the potential exhaustion of an uptrend. A short position is typically considered at point D, with a stop-loss placement above point X.

The indicator provides visual confirmations and labels to simplify the identification of these complex harmonic structures.

Details

The Deep Crab is a variation of the standard Crab pattern, distinguished primarily by the depth of the "B" point retracement. While a standard Crab has a B point retracement between 38.2% and 61.8% of the XA leg, the Deep Crab requires a deeper 88.6% retracement. The final "D" point typically extends to a 1.618 projection of the XA leg, signaling a volatile and extended move before a reversal.

The script utilizes a ZigZag-based logic to identify pivots and calculate the internal Fibonacci ratios required for a valid pattern.

Settings

Logical Setting

  • ZigZag Pivot Period: Adjusts the sensitivity of the pivot detection; higher values detect longer-term patterns, while lower values detect more frequent, short-term patterns.
  • Show Valid Format: When enabled, the indicator only displays patterns that strictly adhere to the defined Fibonacci ratios without market noise.
  • Show Formation Last Pivot Confirm: If enabled, the pattern is only displayed once the final pivot (D) is fully confirmed, reducing false signals but increasing lag.
  • Period of Formation Last Pivot: Sets the lookback period specifically for the confirmation of the final D pivot.

Display Setting

  • Show Bullish/Bearish Pattern: Toggles the visibility of specific pattern directions.
  • Color Bullish/Bearish Pattern: Customizes the visual color of the patterns on the chart.
  • Width Line: Adjusts the thickness of the lines connecting the X-A-B-C-D points.
  • Label Size: Changes the size of the text labels on the chart.
  • Switching Colors Theme Mode: Provides presets for Light or Dark chart themes.

  • Alert: Toggles the alert system on or off.
