Kozlod - All-time high/low alerts
Mar 14, 2018

The Kozlod - All-time high/low alerts indicator tracks and visualizes the highest and lowest price levels ever reached by an asset, providing traders with critical support and resistance levels.
Usage
The indicator can be used to identify significant price breakouts or breakdowns beyond historical extremes. By plotting these levels on the chart, traders can observe when an asset enters price discovery mode (making new highs) or experiences extreme capitulation (making new lows). The script is particularly useful for long-term trend analysis and setting alerts for historical price milestones.
Examples:
- Breakout Trading: When the price crosses above the All-time High (ATH) line, it may signal a continuation of a bullish trend into unchartered territory.
- Support Identification: The All-time Low (ATL) serves as the ultimate historical floor for an asset's valuation.
Details
The script utilizes the request.security function to fetch data across the entire history of the ticker. It calculates the ATH and ATL by comparing the current bar's high and low against the historically recorded values using math.max and math.min. These values are tracked across monthly intervals to ensure comprehensive coverage of the asset's price action. The levels are displayed as horizontal lines using the trackprice parameter, ensuring they are visible regardless of the current zoom level or scroll position.
Settings
As this is a utility script focused on historical extremes, it primarily relies on calculation logic with the following outputs:
- All-time High: Displays the highest historical price level in green.
- All-time Low: Displays the lowest historical price level in red.
