Multi-Symbol Scanner: Advanced EMA-RSI-Volume Strategy
Nov 16, 2024

The Multi-Symbol Scanner: Advanced EMA-RSI-Volume Strategy tool provides a comprehensive dashboard for monitoring multiple assets simultaneously using a combination of trend-following Exponential Moving Averages, momentum-based RSI, and relative volume surges to identify high-probability trading setups.
Usage
The indicator acts as a multi-symbol scanner and a technical overlay. It monitors six user-defined symbols (defaulted to major tech stocks like TSLA, NVDA, and AMZN) and displays their status in a real-time table.
- Long-term Trend: The primary trend is determined by the 820-period EMA. Price crossing this level serves as the primary signal trigger.
- Medium-term Confirmation: The 320-period EMA filters signals, ensuring that entries align with the intermediate trend.
- Volume Validation: A signal is only valid if volume is at least 1.5x (customizable) higher than the 20-period average, ensuring market participation.
- Momentum Filtering: The RSI must be within neutral boundaries (typically 30–70) to avoid entering during extreme overbought or oversold conditions.
- Scanner Table: A dashboard shows the RSI and EMA status for each symbol across 1-hour and 4-hour timeframes, allowing for quick cross-comparison.
Details
The script utilizes multi-timeframe analysis via request.security to pull data from higher timeframes (1H and 4H) and a lower execution timeframe (10-minute). This allows the strategy to capture intra-day entries that are supported by longer-term structural trends.
The calculation logic requires four concurrent conditions for a signal:
- Price Cross: A crossover (buy) or crossunder (sell) of the Slow EMA (820).
- Trend Alignment: Price must be on the correct side of the Fast EMA (320).
- Volume Surge: Current volume must exceed the adaptive SMA threshold.
- RSI Range: Momentum must be stable between the defined thresholds.

FAQ
How do I interpret the scanner table? The table shows the RSI value and whether the price is above (↑) or below (↓) the Fast EMA for each symbol on the 1-hour and 4-hour timeframes.
What timeframes are best for this script? While the scanner pulls 1H and 4H data, it is designed to be viewed on lower timeframes (like the 10m or 1H) for precise signal execution.
