Full Stack Engineer (AI platform)

Remote — USA-based preferred$150k–$220k/yr + potential for meaningful equity

About LuxAlgo

Markets punish emotion. For over five years, LuxAlgo has built the tools that replace guesswork with machine discipline — hundreds of publications of trading logic, used by millions of traders, running everywhere from our own platform to TradingView.

In 2025 we launched our AI platform, and the traction confirmed the thesis: traders want to describe an idea in plain language and get back something automated, backtested, and real. What we're building next is considerably more ambitious. We won't spell it out in a job post — but if the idea of an AI trading platform built from the ground up, with nothing wrapped and nothing borrowed, means something to you, you already understand the shape of it.

We're bootstrapped and profitable. No runway math, no investor theater. We ship, reinvest, and stay flexible.

The team

The engineering team is small by design — a handful of people with full ownership of large surfaces, competing directly with multi-billion-dollar platforms. Every person here is deeply aligned with what we're building and genuinely interested in markets. That's not a nice-to-have; it's the filter. The upside for early builders who clear it is meaningful.

What you'll do

  • Build and ship. High-performance product features across the stack: React + Next.js, TypeScript, Postgres.
  • Integrate AI properly. Vercel AI SDK + LLMs powering real features — like our AI Backtesting Assistant — not demos.
  • Own outcomes. Idea → implementation → iteration. Tight feedback loops, fast releases, your name on the result.
  • Scale and harden. Performance, reliability, and security matter here. Your work hits production quickly and runs at scale.
  • Work with data and retrieval. PostgreSQL on AWS RDS; bonus if you've built with RAG, tool calling, or agent-style architectures.

What we're looking for

  • Strong in React + TypeScript, with a real grasp of modern frontend fundamentals — performance, state, architecture, UX.
  • A true full-stack generalist: API design, backend workflows, data modeling, pragmatic tradeoffs.
  • Hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered features — SDKs, prompts, tool calling, retrieval.
  • Moves fast, communicates clearly, and doesn't need process to be effective.

Nice to have

  • Strong UI instincts — clean, minimal, highly usable.
  • Genuine familiarity with trading and markets, or experience building fintech products.
  • Experience integrating and maintaining Stripe for payments, subscriptions, and invoicing.

How we work

High ownership. High standards. We care about velocity, and we're not sloppy — those aren't in tension when the team is small and the bar is high. If you're looking for a place to coast, this isn't it. If you want to build with a lean team on a product traders actually depend on, it is.

Why join

  • Real product, real users. You'll ship to thousands of paying users and see the impact immediately.
  • Upside and autonomy. Bootstrapped, profitable, and already at meaningful scale.
  • Remote and focused. Fully remote, async-friendly where it works — but we move quickly and stay tightly aligned. USA-based candidates preferred.
