About LuxAlgo

LuxAlgo is the AI trading & charting platform: state-of-the-art charts, Quant (our coding agent, the intelligence inside LuxAlgo), a growing family of open-source projects (the Vela charting engine, and PineTS, the open-source runtime Pine Script® runs on), and the market-data infrastructure underneath all of it. For over five years our tools have been used by millions of traders, on our own platform and on TradingView.

We're bootstrapped and profitable. No runway math, no investor theater. We ship, reinvest, and stay flexible.

The team

The engineering team is small by design: a handful of people with full ownership of large surfaces, competing directly with multi-billion-dollar platforms. Everyone here is deeply aligned with what we're building and genuinely interested in markets. That isn't a nice-to-have; it's the filter. The upside for early builders who clear it is meaningful.

We ship fast with modern tooling, and AI coding agents are everyday collaborators here.

What you'll do

  • Build and ship. Product features across the stack (React + Next.js, TypeScript, Postgres) on the platform behind our state-of-the-art charts.
  • Build the charting workspace. Multi-chart layouts, tools per chart, strategy alerts, watchlists, and the surfaces traders live in all day, on top of Vela.
  • Make Quant more capable. Extend our coding agent: the tools it can call, what it sees on the chart, and how it turns an idea into a script, a backtest, and a strategy alert.
  • Work with Pine Script® and PineTS. Ship features on our open-source runtime, from script inputs and indicator libraries to backtests.
  • Own outcomes. Idea to implementation to iteration. Tight feedback loops, fast releases, your name on the result.
  • Scale and harden. Performance, reliability, and security matter here. Your work hits production quickly and runs at scale.

What we're looking for

  • Strong in React + TypeScript, with a real grasp of modern frontend fundamentals: performance, state, architecture, UX.
  • A true full-stack generalist: API design, backend workflows, data modeling, pragmatic tradeoffs.
  • Performance instincts for data-heavy, real-time UIs: canvas or WebGL rendering, WebSockets, large datasets in the browser.
  • Comfort building with LLMs (tool calling, prompts, retrieval) and using AI coding agents daily to build.
  • Moves fast, communicates clearly, and doesn't need process to be effective.

Nice to have

  • Strong UI instincts: clean, minimal, highly usable.
  • Genuine familiarity with trading and markets, or experience building fintech products.
  • Pine Script® experience, or contributions to open-source charting or trading tools.
  • Experience building and maintaining payments, subscriptions, and invoicing flows.

How we work

High ownership. High standards. We care about velocity, and we're not sloppy; those aren't in tension when the team is small and the bar is high. If you're looking for a place to coast, this isn't it. If you want to build with a lean team on a product traders actually depend on, it is.

Why join

  • Real product, real users. You'll ship to thousands of paying users and see the impact immediately.
  • Upside and autonomy. Bootstrapped, profitable, and already at meaningful scale.
  • Remote and focused. Fully remote, async-friendly where it works, but we move quickly and stay tightly aligned. USA-based candidates preferred.
