Dynamic EMA Stack Support & Resistance
Sep 17, 2025

The Dynamic EMA Stack Support & Resistance indicator is a comprehensive trend and market structure framework that combines a Fibonacci-based EMA stacking system with pivot-based projection logic. It aims to identify real-time structural shifts, momentum zones, and dynamic support and resistance levels that adapt to current price action.
Usage
The tool operates using two primary engines to provide market context:
- EMA Stack: Utilizes a sequence of EMAs (defaulting to Fibonacci lengths) to determine trend bias. A bullish stack occurs when EMAs are aligned from fastest to slowest, while a bearish stack shows the inverse.
- Pivot Projection: Uses oscillator-based pivot logic to detect early-stage swing highs and lows, projecting horizontal support and resistance lines that extend until a new structure is formed.
Traders can use the "Trend State" labels such as "SPRT", "RES", and "Trend?" to identify potential entry or reversal zones. The visual "Yellow/Blue" zones indicate periods of EMA compression, often preceding volatility breakouts.
Details
The script features an "Auto TF" mode that automatically adapts EMA lengths based on the chart timeframe (e.g., shorter lengths for scalping timeframes and longer lengths for daily/weekly charts). It employs an ATR-based filter to stabilize compression logic and uses a normalized tanh-style oscillator to identify "extreme" trend states. The pivot engine can be configured to anchor to candle wicks or closes, allowing for different interpretations of market structure.

FAQ
How do I interpret the "Trend?" labels? These labels appear when the EMA stack begins to transition or compress, signaling a potential shift in market momentum or the start of a new trend.
Can I use this for scalping and swing trading? Yes, by using the "Auto TF" mode or manually adjusting the EMA lengths (e.g., 5-34 for scalping or 21-233 for swing trading), the tool adapts to various trading styles.
