The Bank Nifty Dashboard indicator provides a comprehensive performance glance of major global and domestic market drivers, including the Dow Jones Industrial Average (US30), India VIX, and key constituents of the Bank Nifty index. This tool is designed to assist traders in making rapid decisions by monitoring momentum and price action across multiple timeframes directly on their chart.

Usage

The dashboard allows traders to monitor the health of the banking sector and market volatility in real-time. By default, it tracks the top contributors to the Bank Nifty index, but these can be customized based on your specific trading strategy or chosen index.

  • Momentum Tracking: When the cells across all timeframes are highlighted in green, it indicates strong bullish momentum across the sector. Conversely, widespread red cells suggest bearish pressure.
  • Timeframe Analysis: Users can set two custom timeframes (e.g., 15-minute and 60-minute) to compare intraday momentum against higher-timeframe trends.
  • Volatility Monitoring: By including the India VIX, traders can quickly gauge if market fear is increasing or decreasing, which often correlates inversely with banking sector performance.

Details

The script utilizes request.security() to fetch data for various symbols and timeframes. It calculates the percentage change from the previous day's close as well as the change relative to the user-defined timeframes. The dashboard is constructed using the Pine Script table functions, ensuring it remains fixed on the UI regardless of chart scrolling. The logic focuses on "Normalized Change" interpretations, allowing users to see directional shifts through color-coded cells.
