The Trendline Scalping indicator is a multi-timeframe tool that identifies higher-timeframe trendlines and current-chart breakouts to provide high-probability scalping opportunities. It combines structural support/resistance, RSI/ADX trend bias, and automated trade planning to streamline the decision-making process for fast-paced traders.

Usage

The indicator is designed to be used on specific scalping timeframes while referencing trendlines from higher timeframes. Users should select their target "Chart To Scalp" in the settings; for example, if scalping the 1-minute chart, the tool will automatically project 5-minute trendlines onto the view.

Signal Execution:

  • Bullish Break: Wait for a candle to close above a red (downward) trendline. A green diamond marker will appear as a signal.
  • Bearish Break: Wait for a candle to close below a green (upward) trendline. A red diamond marker will signal the breakdown.

Trade Planning: Upon a signal, the indicator generates dynamic Stop-Loss (SL) and Take-Profit (TP) boxes. These can be customized based on various methodologies such as ATR, Swing Highs/Lows, or fixed Risk/Reward ratios.

Contextual Filters: Users can reference the Multi-Timeframe (MTF) panel to confirm the trend bias using RSI and ADX/DI across three different timeframes. Optional features like EMA zones (9/21, 30/55, 100/200) and Supply/Demand zones provide additional layers of confluence for entries.

Details

The script utilizes a sophisticated trendline detection algorithm that scans for "clean" lines based on pivot points. It features "Ghost Line" logic, which maintains a dotted projection of a trendline after it has been broken to show where previous resistance or support may still influence price.

The timeframe mapping is automated to ensure users are always viewing significant structural levels:

  • 1m Scalp -> 5m Trendline
  • 5m Scalp -> 15m Trendline
  • 15m Scalp -> 1h Trendline
  • 1h Scalp -> 4h Trendline
  • 4h Scalp -> Weekly Trendline

Additionally, the tool incorporates Smart Money Concepts (SMC) such as Break of Structure (BOS) and Supply/Demand zones (originally credited to Pmgjiv) to help traders identify where institutional interest may reside.

FAQ

How do I interpret the diamond markers? The diamonds represent a candle closing through a higher-timeframe trendline. A green diamond indicates a bullish breakout, while a red diamond indicates a bearish breakdown.

What do the ghost lines represent? Ghost lines are dotted extensions of trendlines that have already been broken. They are used to identify potential retest areas or "S/R flip" zones where old resistance becomes new support.
