ThePro Scalper AI tool provides a multi-dimensional scalping framework that combines trend analysis, momentum, and dynamic volatility weighting to identify short-term market opportunities. It utilizes confirmed bar data to ensure signals are non-repainting and offers optional AI forecasting to adapt thresholds based on predicted price moves.

Usage

The Usage section describes how the script can be used to navigate scalping environments. Users can rely on two primary signal methods: immediate signals for high-frequency entries based on current market snapshots, and latched signals which hold a state until a confirmed reversal occurs.

Key application methods include:

  • Trend Filtering: Use the built-in Hull Moving Average (HMA) and the Higher Timeframe (HTF) filter to ensure entries align with the broader market direction.
  • Momentum Selection: Toggle between Stochastic RSI, Fisher RSI, or Williams %R to match the momentum sensitivity to the specific asset being traded.
  • Threshold Monitoring: Observe the dynamic oscillator levels; when the composite value breaches these adjusted thresholds (potentially shifted by AI bias), it indicates overextended conditions or strong trend initiation.
  • Dashboard Analysis: Use the real-time table to monitor ADX strength, volume factors, and AI bias without manually checking multiple sub-windows.

Details

The script constructs a composite oscillator by weighting four core components: Trend (ADX/DI), Momentum (User-selected), Volatility (ATR-based), and Volume (OBV-based).

  • Dynamic Weighting: Unlike static indicators, this script scales the influence of trend and volatility factors based on current market intensity. If volatility is high, the script increases the volatility weight to prevent premature signals.
  • AI Forecasting: The AI module employs linear regression to project price movement bars ahead. This projection is then normalized to the oscillator’s scale to shift the upper and lower thresholds, essentially making the indicator "harder" or "easier" to trigger based on predicted direction.
  • Latching Mechanism: To reduce whipsaws in choppy markets, the latching logic requires a clear opposite signal to exit a state, ensuring traders stay in a trend for a longer duration than standard oscillators might allow.

Settings

General Settings

  • Use Higher Timeframe Trend Filter?: Enables an additional HMA filter from a higher timeframe.
  • HTF: Sets the resolution for the Higher Timeframe filter.
  • ADX/DI/ATR/HMA Lengths: Adjusts the period lookback for trend and volatility calculations.
  • Momentum Mode: Selects the calculation method for the momentum component (Stochastic RSI, Fisher RSI, or Williams %R).

Weights & Thresholds

  • Component Weights: Adjusts the percentage contribution of Trend, Momentum, Volatility, and Volume to the final oscillator.
  • Base Upper/Lower Threshold: Sets the starting points for overbought and oversold conditions.
  • Dynamic Threshold Multiplier: Controls how much the thresholds expand or contract based on oscillator standard deviation.
  • Use Dynamic Weighting?: Toggles the automatic scaling of weights based on ADX and ATR intensity.

AI Forecast

  • Use AI Forecast?: Enables the linear regression prediction module.
  • AI Length/Future: Sets the lookback for the regression and how many bars into the future to forecast.
  • AI Threshold Shift: Determines how aggressively the AI bias shifts the oscillator thresholds.

Signal & Display

  • Enable Latching?: Toggles the persistence mode for signals.
  • Dashboard Text Size: Customizes the visual scale of the on-screen information table.

FAQ

How do I interpret the different signal shapes? Immediate signals use distinct markers like circles and crosses for entry types, while latched signals are displayed as triangles or diamonds to indicate a sustained directional bias.

What is the benefit of the AI Forecast setting? The AI forecast attempts to predict the next few bars of price action to proactively move the "overbought" or "oversold" lines, helping you avoid selling too early in a strong move or buying into a predicted drop.
