A key modification in Version 2 is the conversion of the momentum histogram into a line plot and the addition of a signal line (a 5-period SMA of the momentum value). This allows for earlier entry and exit signals based on moving average crossovers rather than waiting for zero-line transitions or histogram color changes.

Settings

  • BB Length: Determines the lookback period for the Bollinger Bands calculation.
  • BB MultFactor: Sets the standard deviation multiplier for the Bollinger Bands width.
  • KC Length: Sets the lookback period for the Keltner Channels.
  • KC MultFactor: Sets the multiplier for the Keltner Channels, typically using the Average True Range (ATR) or Simple Range.
  • Signal Length: Defines the period for the Simple Moving Average (SMA) used as the red signal line.
  • Use TrueRange (KC): A toggle to choose between using True Range or a simple High-Low range for Keltner Channel calculations.
