Understanding Horn Patterns Detection
Horn patterns, as introduced by Bulkowski in the "Encyclopedia of Chart Patterns", are crucial for anticipating price reversals or continuations. Our previous analysis on horn patterns can be accessed here: Horn Tops & Bottoms Patterns - How To Find and Trade Them.
The indicator efficiently detects these patterns and visually marks them on the chart. It is designed to display confirmation and take profit levels automatically, enabling traders to make informed decisions based on Bulkowski’s rules.
The tool accentuates horn patterns with a connecting line between the horns. Dotted lines highlight the confirmation levels. A label indicating either bullish or bearish conditions appears once the price breaches this level. For potential profits, look towards the dashed line which marks the take-profit point.
Key Settings for Trading Success
- Threshold: This setting manages the maximum slope for connecting lines between two horns. Adjusting this will determine the sensitivity of the pattern detection—higher values accommodate steeper slopes, increasing detection flexibility.
