The maximum daily loss limit varies by account type:

  • Alpha One: 4% of the initial account balance
  • Alpha Pro: 5% of the initial account balance
  • Alpha Swing: 5% of the initial account balance

This is calculated based on the highest equity of the day (balance/equity - highest at EOD).

A minimum of 1 trading day is required for 1-step challenges, and 3 trading days for 3-step challenges. A trading day is defined as a day where at least one position is opened.

Prohibited Practices

Alpha Capital prohibits the following practices (hard breaches leading to immediate account cancellation):

  • Arbitrage or latency exploitation (tick scalping)
  • Using trading signals from third parties or copying other users
  • Group trading or operating multiple accounts as a coordinated team
  • High-frequency trading bots or API trading
  • Executing trades via fund managers or external operators

Stop Loss Requirements

Stop losses are NOT required on Alpha Capital accounts. Traders have the freedom to manage their positions without mandatory stop loss orders.

Trade Duration Restrictions

Alpha Capital has trade duration restrictions:

  • Average trade duration must exceed 2 minutes across all trades
  • No more than 50% of total profits can come from trades shorter than 2 minutes

Violating this rule results in profits from violating trades being excluded from payouts.

Weekend and overnight holding rules vary by account type:

  • Alpha Swing, Alpha One, Alpha Three: Weekend holding is permitted at all stages
  • Qualified Analyst Accounts: Weekend holding is NOT permitted (profits from held trades will be removed)
