Session Sweeps

Session Sweeps is built on a simple observation: stops and pending orders accumulate above and below the Asian, London, and New York ranges, forming session liquidity pools that price is repeatedly drawn toward. The indicator highlights liquidity-sweep events at those extremes - brief runs beyond a session boundary that clear the resting orders - and layers market structure shifts and fair value gaps on top, giving the classic ICT session playbook one home on the chart.

How to Trade the Session Sweeps?

  • Sweep zones: buyside and sellside zones mark where price pierced a session high or low and reversed; fake sweep zones can be hidden or styled separately.
  • CHoCH confirmation: a market structure shift after a sweep - bullish once a low is run, bearish once a high is - acts as the follow-through cue, with Detection Length tuning pivot sensitivity.
  • FVG entries: fair value gaps forming around the structure shift serve as pullback entry zones, and the FVG Width Filter keeps only proportionally significant gaps on the chart.

One documented sequence: wait for the previous session's low to be breached, look for a bullish CHoCH, then seek an entry inside a bullish fair value gap, targeting the session high with a stop at the session low or a nearby swing. The bearish sequence mirrors it.

Session Sweeps Settings

  • Session windows: Asia, London, New York AM and PM each carry visibility, start/end times, colors, extended max/min/mid levels, and DST adjustments.
  • Sweep controls: Buyside/Sellside Sweep Zones with color and margin, Sweep Margin Length, Detect Sweeps Once per Session, and Hide Fake Sweep Zones.
  • Market Structure Shifts (CHoCH) + Detection Length: toggle structure shifts and set their sensitivity.
  • Fair Value Gaps + FVG Width Filter: gap visibility and proportional filtering.
  • Sessions Tabular View: a table of session status, dates, and countdowns, plus Market Instrument Check auto-configuration.
