CRT Sweep & Setup Highlighter

Static chart image

The CRT Sweep & Setup Highlighter automates a complete sweep-and-confirm workflow around higher-timeframe levels. It projects the previous HTF period's high and low, watches for a liquidity sweep (price breaking a level by at least your minimum break value, then closing back inside the range), and only marks a setup once a Fair Value Gap or Market Structure Shift confirms it, complete with projected risk-to-reward zones.

How to Trade the CRT Sweep & Setup Highlighter?

  • HTF context: choose a higher timeframe (60 minutes, for example) and the script draws the prior period's high and low as working support and resistance.
  • Manipulation zone: when price violates a level beyond the break threshold, the area is highlighted as a potential grab of resting orders.
  • Confirmed setup: an FVG or MSS following the sweep validates the trade, and entry, stop-loss, and take-profit boxes are projected for management.
  • Chart hygiene: enable "Only Keep Visuals if Setup Found" and periods that never produced a valid setup are wiped from the chart.

The premise is the failed-breakout logic behind Turtle Soup: a break that cannot hold beyond the level often supplies the fuel for the move back the other way.

CRT Sweep & Setup Highlighter Settings

  • Higher Timeframe: the reference period whose high and low are projected.
  • Setup Type: the confirmation required: FVG, MSS, Both, or None.
  • Draw Risk:Reward: toggles the entry, stop, and target visualization.
  • Only Keep Visuals if Setup Found: clears markers from periods without a valid setup.
  • Minimum Break Type / Minimum Break Value: how far beyond the level price must trade (in ticks or as a percentage) before a sweep counts.
