NFP Price Zones turns the monthly Non-Farm Payrolls release from a volatility lottery into a mapped event. Purpose-built for macro event days, it finds the correct NFP Friday, measures how price expanded during past releases, and projects those statistics forward: average expansion levels drawn on the chart before the number ever hits.

How to Trade the NFP Price Zones?

  • Projected expansion levels: read the lines to the right of price as breakout triggers, take-profit targets, or exhaustion markers when a move approaches its historical average.
  • Frozen anchor: exactly 30 minutes before the scheduled time, the zones stop tracking price: fixed levels for objective risk placement while the release hits.
  • Dashboard readout: Avg Range, Max Range, and Avg Up/Dn Exp summarize past releases; a countdown flips to EVENT LIVE, and To High/Low Exp shows how much of the typical move has already printed.
  • Historical boxes: review highlighted past NFP windows to see how your market usually behaves in the release minutes.

Once frozen, the projections act as event-scoped support and resistance zones: breakout traders want a clean escape from them, mean-reversion traders fade price pressing into the outer expansions. The tool also works in bar replay, so past releases can be rehearsed bar by bar.

NFP Price Zones Settings

  • Historical NFPs to Analyze: how many past releases feed the statistics: more for stability, fewer for responsiveness.
  • NFP Release Hour (24h) and NFP Release Minute (default 08:30 ET): align projections with the official release time.
  • Show Historical Zones / Zone Color: toggle and style the past reaction boxes.
  • Dashboard, Position, Size: control the statistics panel and its placement.
