BAMM automates Scott Carney's Bat Action Magnet Move — BAMM — as an armed-and-triggered state machine: a 10-bar swing zigzag supplies the structure, and a valid Bat front half — B retracing 0.382 to 0.50 of XA with C inside the AB range — arms the B level as a trigger line, with the 0.886 retracement of XA as the destination. A decisive break of B toward D (a close through it by default) is the BAMM event that starts the magnet leg.

From the trigger onward the leg is managed to one of three resolutions: arrival at the 0.886 completion, an overrun close through it, or a reclaim of B against the move. A dashboard tracks state, leg direction, trigger and target prices, progress and the last outcome.

How to Trade the BAMM?

• BAMM label at the B break: the entry event toward D; the fill between trigger and destination shades the leg.
• ✓ arrival at 0.886: the magnet trade is done; the completion decision is a separate framework.
• Overrun: a close through the 0.886 level hints the structure may extend as an Alt Bat toward a 1.13 completion.
• ✕ B reclaimed: a close back through the trigger invalidates the move.

Before the trigger, any violation of the A extreme voids an armed setup. The projected levels are plain retracements of the XA leg, kin to classic Fibonacci retracement tooling.

BAMM Settings

• Swing Length (default 10): pivot half-length for the swings; larger finds bigger, rarer structures.
• Min B Retracement (default 0.382) and Max B Retracement (default 0.5): the B window of a valid Bat front half.
• Completion Retracement (default 0.886): the projected magnet destination.
• Trigger Mode (default Close beyond B): or Wick beyond B; events are evaluated on confirmed bars.

How does this relate to RSI BAMM?

Same magnet logic, different raw material: here the Bat's price geometry supplies trigger and destination, while RSI BAMM substitutes an indicator structure for part of the price pattern. Both trade the trip to a probable destination instead of waiting at it.

Is the 0.886 level a target or an entry?

Strictly the leg's destination here. Arrival ends the magnet trade and begins completion-zone assessment — whether to fade the arrival is a separate decision the outcome row leaves open.

What voids a setup before the trigger fires?

Any trade through the A extreme against the pattern. The front half is no longer valid, so the armed drawings are removed and the tool returns to idle until a new front half re-arms it.
