Initial Balance Breakout Signals plots the range carved out in the first hour of the session, the initial balance, and fires signals when price escapes it. Auto mode locates the regular session's opening hour, while custom sessions retarget the engine at opening-range windows of 1, 3, 5, or 30 minutes, overnight hours, or several sessions at once. Range extensions, Fibonacci retracements, and a forecast drawn from historical IB behavior complete the session picture.

How to Trade the Initial Balance Breakout Signals?

  • Break and hold beyond an IB extreme: escapes above the high read bullish, below the low bearish, and favor continuation.
  • Failed break at an extreme: rejection often precedes a traverse to the other end of the range.
  • Extensions as targets: project 25%, 50%, or 100% of the IB range beyond either extreme and treat those levels as objectives for breakouts in progress.
  • Fibonacci retracements: levels inside the range show which side is defending. Buyers holding an upper level signal strength.

The forecast compares the live IB with its historical average, measured against the previous session's open or filtered by weekday. Larger than average points to momentum; smaller warns of hesitation.
