How to Trade the TTM Squeeze?

• Dots switch to squeeze-on: both Bollinger Bands sit strictly inside the Keltner Channels — movement is unusually quiet and a release is building.
• Squeeze Fire cross: the first bar the bands re-emerge outside the channels ends the squeeze; the cross takes the histogram's color, the traditional lean of the release.
• Histogram fades: bars building away from zero print solid, bars turning back toward zero print dimmed — the common scale-out or stand-aside cue.

Enabling Highlight Squeeze Periods shades compressed stretches, useful when the squeeze acts as a stand-down filter for other tools in the volatility family.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a squeeze fire tell you the direction?

No — compression is direction-neutral. The fire-bar cross takes the side of the Momentum histogram, and the bullish and bearish fire alerts only trigger with positive or negative momentum. The lean is a tendency to weigh, not a promise.

How is this different from watching Bollinger Bands alone?

On their own, Bollinger Bands leave "narrow" as a judgment call, since band width has no fixed scale. The squeeze turns compression into a binary state by testing the bands against ATR-based channels built on the same basis.

What alerts does the build include?
