Support/Resistance & Levels

Pivot families, the Fibonacci suite, supply & demand zones, and anchored references.

Levels are the horizontal prices traders plan around: where a market has stalled before, where a formula projects the next reference point, or where resting orders are likely to sit. Some are read directly from price history, like support and resistance zones, prior highs and lows, and the bases that launch strong moves. Others are calculated, from classic pivot formulas to Fibonacci ratios applied to a chosen swing.

This family collects both kinds along with the craft around them: how raw touches get merged into zones, how a level's freshness is judged after repeated tests, what separates a real break from a fake-out, and where anchored references such as period opens, VWAP, and option strike walls fit in. Every page connects the concept to the Library indicators that implement it.

Pivot families

Formula-based reference levels projected from the prior period's prices, from the classic floor-trader calculation to Camarilla, Woodie, Fibonacci variants, and the Central Pivot Range.

Fibonacci suite

Ratio tools measured off a chosen swing: retracements and the golden pocket, extensions and projections for targets, plus time, geometry, and confluence applications.

Horizontal S/R

The core support and resistance craft: how touches are detected, merged, and scored into zones, how broken levels swap roles, how freshness fades as tests accumulate, and why round numbers matter.

Supply & demand methodology

Zone-based analysis that marks the origins of strong moves as supply or demand, then grades each area for quality, freshness, and position on the higher-timeframe curve.

Anchored/reference levels

Reference prices anchored to something specific: prior highs and lows, period opens, all-time and 52-week extremes, overnight and extended-hours trade, VWAP from a chosen anchor, and option strikes with heavy open interest.

Exotic level systems

Rule-based price grids from Murrey Math and Gann's Square of 9; both keep dedicated followings even though their underlying premises remain contested.
